Nashville Restaurant in Nashville has been investigated by the Subway Public Health Department after numerous reports of severe food poisoning.
About a dozen Sushi train customers have reported the symptoms of rapid food poisoning after a meal at the White Bridge Road restaurant. The restaurant allows clients to choose sushi from a rolling conveyor in the dining room.
These claims for the first time came to light on iwaspoisoned.com, a platform through which users can report suspects that are transmitted with food. From late March to mid -April, the site submitted six complaints, including sushi train, representing approximately 13 people.
Now the Nashville Subway Public Health Department and Davidson County are investigating the restaurant, according to reports received by Tennesian.
“As for this complaint, an investigation is being conducted in an email,” a health department said in an email. “Finding the source of any disease is not always clear, but the investigation is intended to give us the best plausible answer to what the source may be.”

A call to Sushi’s train was replied by a cashier who said he did not know about the reported diseases. A manager was not available immediately to comment on the allegations. The restaurant remained open since April 30.
Found disorders of food safety
In a routine check on April 14, three days before iwasposoined.com contact Tennessee to share the complaints, the health department monitors 16 food safety disorders in Sushi Train. Inspectors measure sushi on the 60 degree conveyor belt; Imitation crabs stored at 50 degrees; There is no soap in the toilet of the employee and insufficient chlorine in the vessel machine to disinfect the dishes properly.
Prepared sushi, which is not immediately served, should be kept at 40 degrees Fahrenheit or below to prevent bacteria growth.
Other violations include numerous events of improper storage of potentially dangerous food, lack of appropriate sanitation of food contact surfaces and improper storage of chemicals.

This report and other results of routine inspections can be viewed on the Department of Health Website in Tennessee.
The complaints and the initial inspection did not cause the health department employees to close the restaurant. But three days after the initial inspection, inspectors of the health management returned to another investigation, encouraged by two complaints of potential nutritional diseases and/or chemical contamination of food. The agency said the restaurant would be closed if the violations continue.
This is according to a report that Tennesin received by requesting public records made to the Ministry of Public Health on the subway. The request, officially submitted on April 21, has not been fulfilled until April 29.
“In both complaints, it is reported that many individuals had symptoms, including diarrhea and abdominal pain within approximately 30 minutes after eating at the establishment,” comments were reported during the subsequent investigation.
A probable cause of food poisoning
Dr. Aliyar Cyrus Fuladha, Doctor of Science, Director of the Foundation for Microbiology of Public Health, said in an email that the complaints of dinner from the symptoms of a sudden onset are in line with the nutritional poisoning of Staphylococcus aureus, although confirmation will require testing of the laboratory.
Food contaminated with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria can hurt people within 30 minutes to 8 hours after ingestion. Bacteria can be spread by processing foods, especially without appropriate hand washing procedures. Most cases are mild and are allowed within a few days.
At the time the inspection was carried out in response to consumers’ complaints, the inspectors recorded only one violation: raw chicken stored behind raw whole beef in the cooler.
Meanwhile, more complaints have emerged about the time of inspection in Google’s reviews at the restaurant.
Iwaspoisoned.com, created by the former Morgan Stanley Patrick Quade’s Morgan interest raser, has presented some pretty convincing reports across the country. For example, the site reports that more than 130 people said they were painful after eating at Virginia’s Chipotle. But she is not without her critics.
Determining claim that the anonymous nature of the site can lead to false reports. Some health officials have also said it is difficult for people to properly identify the culprit behind their illnesses.
In the meantime, the investigation into the disease reports is ongoing, according to the health department in a statement sent by email to Tennesian on April 30.
“Our food and public facilities program take the safety of our community very seriously,” the statement said. “We are investigating every complaint that comes to us, and we encourage the community to inform us of anti -Sanitary conditions so that we can explore.”
The initial inspection report notes several priority violations requiring correction, the health management statement said. Priority violations must be changed within 10 days after the inspection.
“This requires a subsequent investigation and if these violations have not yet been corrected, the store will be closed by our team.”
